Chanel Double Perfection Compact Powder Foundation Knockoff/Dupe/Drugstore Double

I know many, many ladies love Chanel Double Perfection Compact Powder Foundation, but hate the price tag... $50. I would wear this stuff every day, year-round if I was a rich girl. I've tried all the drugstore brands of powder foundations and Maybelline Pure Stay Powder Foundation is about as close as I have come to Chanel DP.
The thing I love most about Chanel DP is the ever-so-slight shimmer, or "light-reflecting pigments" of the powder, and the fact that it covers great without a chalky, mask-like look. It really blends well with the skin. Much better than MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation, which tends to sit on top of your skin.

Maybelline comes pretty darn close to matching all the great qualities of the Chanel DP. The only drawback of the Maybelline Pure Stay is that the colors are a teensy bit ashy... Not quite right. But for about $42 less than Chanel, it is a steal at $8.

If you usually wear Vanilla in Chanel DP
Try Ivory 10 in Pure Stay

  1. I agree...the Maybelline does tend to be a bit ashy for me as well, and I wear a much darker shade then you. I love the Bare Minerals foundation, but I hate paying $25 for it! :) I'm your first follower! :)

  2. Thanks Jessica! u are gorgeous! Sorry for the delayed response...I was in the middle of moving cross-country. I am pretty loyal to maybelline's powder foundation. I have tried Estee Lauder's double wear Powder foundation, Clinique's almost makeup PF, and Make Up For Ever's PF recently, and they just don't compare formula-wise. Plus you absolutely cannot beat the price! ($7 at Target!). I love how this powder foundation gives me a "dewy" look...a tall feat for a powder foundation! I'm not a fan of Bare Minerals foundation. I even tried the "matte" version. too cakey looking for me. any other good PF's u know of that i should try?

  3. I really like everyday minerals powder foundation, in the original glow formula. But it is loose, I don't know if you were looking only for pressed?
